Consumption can mean to satisfy the needs of the masses such as food,clothes and travel. Consumption could be to do with needs which are biological physical and phsycolodgical. because of mass production there were many more good that the public could choose from and thus led to the development of more diversity's of taste retail development and new design in products.

Because of the need for different products new inventions were made such as domestic appliances that soon replaced maids and butlers for cleaning.
because more goods began to appear on the market manufacturers help make whats we know as diversification which made differences between classes.
men and women became different from each other as products were made for women and men. children had toys and clothes different from adults which created the period we know as childhood.
soap was a important issue as soaps for diffrent puposes which made people become more contious of cleanlyness. paris began to change due to the growth of shops and department stores.

-new typeface for editing
-education system for children
